The spectacular iPhone 5 screen, the best among smartphones according to DisplayMate, uses technology in-cell – which integrates multitouch technology in the fabric manufacturing process.
According to the Bloomberg, LG Display Co. and Japan Display Inc. – panel suppliers to Apple – are struggling to meet the high demand, justifying the scarcity of iPhones. Barclays analyst Ben Reitzes added that only 10 million screens using the technology in-cell, are expected to be provided to Apple during this quarter.
As we know, in the first weekend of sales of the new cell phone alone, more than 5 million units were sold. However, Reitzes believes that suppliers will be able to produce much more in the next quarter and that Apple will sell 45 million iPhones during that period.
