The home screens of the two applications are organized in a feed, with all restaurants available by scrolling down the page. The list of establishments in the locality, the note and the delivery time of each one are presented as soon as the apps are opened, if the CEP has already been registered.

RequestsJ, however, displays more information on this part, such as accepted cards, discounts and the price of the delivery fee. At the bottom of the screen, the Foods icon gives access to restaurant categories and meal types to order the search.

The Refine option, next to Foods, gives access to available payment methods, filters and options to guide the search. The user can select one category at a time when searching. The four available filters (discounts, card, coupon and stamps) can be used at the same time in the same consultation.

In the iFood home screen, in addition to the available restaurants, options are displayed that direct to pages with free delivery results, promotions, app exclusives or meals up to certain values. Below these options, it is possible to view the types of cuisine and, in the side menu, filters by rating, delivery time, price and distance, payment methods and free delivery options.

Restaurants and operating area

The number of restaurants available in each app should vary according to the user's location. Both apps ask for the zip code and address to locate nearby establishments, and both tell you which ones are open or closed depending on the time of day. IFood offers 28 types of cuisine to choose from, while OrdersJ organizes its options in 34 categories.

Currently, EncomJ operates in more than 400 cities and has more than 15,000 restaurants registered in Brazil. IFood is now available in more than 390 municipalities in all states of the country. In addition to operating in Brazil, iFood offers services in Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, and EncomJ covers Argentina, Chile, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Payment and delivery

OrdersJ accepts online and cash payments, credit cards, debit cards and meal vouchers upon delivery. The same options are available on iFood, plus the alternatives of paying by check and Online Meal Coupon. It is still possible to search only for restaurants that offer free delivery in the iFood menu or by applying a filter in OrdersJ.
