iFixit launches kit for those who want to install a second hard drive on 21.5 ″ or 27 ″ iMacs

It is known that Apple made it difficult to replace the most recent main iMac HDDs released in the middle of last year, but the folks at iFixit have now launched a very cool product: the iMac Dual Hard Drive Kit.

iFixit - iMac Dual Hard Drive Kit

Available for both 21.5 inch and 27 inch models, the set costs $ 70 and includes everything you need to install a second hard drive (HDD) on the iMac or a solid state drive (SSD), it will depend on how much you want to spend.

As the procedure is not at all simple (includes, for example, removing the LCD to access the internal components), iFixit also published detailed manuals on how to perform the upgrade: 21.5 ″, 27 ″.
