If you like Minecraft, then these games are for you.

Minecraft is a sandbox or open world game where the player explores a virtually infinite world, building whatever he wants with blocks of different materials. It seems a little complicated at first, but it allows you to create a multitude of scenarios, objects and shapes from the world itself, reusing and rearranging the blocks.

As a very successful game, several apps inspired by it appeared on the Play Store. We separated four games that follow Minecraft's block style. They cater for fans of the game and also for those just starting out, but do not want to invest in the official game.

WorldCraft is a game very similar to Minecraft, although much simpler. It has an interesting multiplayer mode, as well as the ability to explore worlds created by other players. It's completely free, with no in-app purchases, but with plenty of ads, from a constant banner on the game screen, to videos with every screen swap.

WordCraft recommended for anyone who wants a free Minecraft / ANDROIDPIT alternative

The gameplay is somewhat locked and follows the basic layout of left screen directionals and actions and camera movement in the center of the screen. WordCraft is recommended for anyone who wants a free alternative to Minecraft.

Free WorldCraft, no in-app purchases, requires Android 2.3 or higher and takes up about 70MB of space.

This is probably the most similar game to Minecraft, both in gameplay and graphics. The same system mines materials and reuses them to build whatever comes to mind. SurvivalCraft adds some elements to the original, such as bows and arrows. Controls are its weakness, not very responsive and on a small screen can be very cumbersome.

Most similar to the original / ANDROIDPIT

SurvivalCraft comes in two versions: a free, time-limited demo and a full version, which costs $ 11.99. It also has a PC version.

SurvivalCraft requires Android 2.3.3 and at least 21MB of space, the amount of data grows greatly over time.

Block story

Unlike previous ones, Block Story is based on the premise of just mining and building, it is an RPG. The union of the two genres makes the game very interesting, completing missions, the player gets new materials and learns how to build weapons, armor, tools, etc., which will help you in the following missions. Block Story is my favorite game on this list.

The graphics are very good, the controls respond well and the initial tutorial is strangely practical and interesting. However, Block Story closed a few times, used up a lot of battery power and made my Galaxy Note 4 warm up a lot.

Also in two versions: one free with many ads, and one premium, for $ 12.03. Requires Android 2.3.3 or higher and occupies almost 90MB of storage.

A mix of Minecraft, Don't Starve and Mario, a mix of 2D and 3D. Keep moving forward collecting materials to survive in different worlds. Easier to control, a relatively simple game that gets complex as the player progresses. A tutorial facilitates the actions.

Build to survive / ANDROIDPIT

The graphics are simple, the gameplay good, however the Blockheads are a bit heavy and can lock a little.

Free Blockheads with purchases requires Android 3.1 or higher and takes up 140MB of space.

Minecraft – Pocket edition

For those who want the original, there is Minecraft – Pocket Edition, aka Minecraft for Android. Mojang (the company behind Minecraft) has developed an official version of the game on Android. It costs $ 20.08.
