IDraw application changes its name to Graphic and is now developed by Autodesk

In a long 2011 we talked about the iDraw, a vector illustration application available for both OS X and iOS (iPads). At that time there were few options like that for OS X (I would venture to say that only Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW and some other small ones that would not offer such good / complete features), so iDraw ended up gaining a certain prominence for offering cool features at a price accessible.

Because this application has just undergone a major change. In addition to the new name (Graphic), it is now part of the Autodesk portfolio and has won an iPhone version!

Autodesk's Graphic App

The apps are already optimized for OS X El Capitan / iOS 9 operating systems and have beautiful features like easily pasting illustrations into Keynote, Pages and iBooks Author applications, importing SVG, PDF, EPS and PSD files, exporting in SVG, PDF formats , PNG, PSD, JPEG, GIF and TIFF, export directly to Xcode's xcasset folders, export layers and tagged objects automatically as individual files, great compatibility with Photoshop, several professional drawing tools, layer styles and much, much more!

Because it has versions for OS X and iOS, one of the great differentials of Graphic can start something on the Mac and end on the iPad / iPhone (or vice versa).

I bought iDraw in June last year because of my daughter's arrival (I had to make some art for her baby shower) and the app (for OS X) served me perfectly. I'm far from being an advanced user in illustration apps, but in my opinion exactly what Graphic enters: people who don't need the power of Illustrator and / or aren't fans of the app subscription model used by Adobe. Now, with Autodesk out, the app must have an interesting future ahead.
