iCloud executive leaves, ex-Amazon Studios enters

According to CNBC reported, Apple?s director of internet services operations, Eric Billingsley, recently left the company.

The executive was responsible for managing the data centers and some internet services, including the operational infrastructure of iCloud services (such as iCloud Drive). Before joining Ma in 2013, he worked on eBay and Google. Who is taking on Billingsley’s responsibilities as senior director of engineering Patrick Gates (who has been with Apple since 2005), which already oversees infrastructure for other services (such as Siri).

As always, while some leave, others arrive. the case of Morgan Wandell, former Amazon Studios who now holds the position of head of international creative development for videos at Apple, reporting directly to Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg (former Sony executives who now lead Ma’s video efforts). Before working for Amazon, he was an executive producer at ABC Studios.

According to Variety, Wandell will start working for Apple at the end of the month, in the new office that the company has set up for its original content division in the iconic The Culver Studios, where films like «E o Vento Levou» and «Matrix» were filmed.
