iCloud.com beta gets new design and renewed Reminders web app

Apple put on the air yesterday – on the “eve” of the official launch of iOS 13, iPadOS 13 and macOS Catalina -, the new look of the portal iCloud.com. For now, the news are only available in the beta version of the online platform.

In comparison to the current iCloud.com, which has a blue bubble background and (gigantic) web app icons, the new site has become more clean, following the aesthetics of most Apple pages.

Other changes include the new web app Sticky notes (Reminders), which mirrors the iOS app (allowing users to create, manage and delete their reminders), the removal of the Settings web app, which has been replaced by the “Account Settings” link, and the “Launchpad” (an icon to get you back to the iCloud.com home screen).

It is worth noting that you need to have installed iOS / iPadOS 13 or macOS Catalina 10.15 to have access to the new Reminders, since it is through some of the new systems that you upgrade to the new version of it.

In addition to the desktop, the new look is also optimized for smartphones, allowing users to manage iCloud data, files, photos and email also from mobile browsers.

In addition, all other functions and web apps have been kept in beta, but this may change (or not) until the official launch – which should happen when the new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS are made available to all users.
