It's okay that Macs are quite durable and have a much higher average life span than PCs, but an iBook G3, today, would be of use to very few people. This does not mean that it cannot be transformed, however:

That's right: a user changed the screen location of an iBook G3 as a support for iPad, in addition to exchanging his keyboard for a model capable of being connected to a tablet via USB, using the iPad Camera Connection Kit. A wireless model, via Bluetooth, it would probably fall even better on the idea.

The only problem with all this, according to the Japanese who created it, is that you can't close the laptop without potentially damaging the iPad's screen. But who knows how to improve it, right?
