HTC announced this week the HTC U11 Plus, a 6-inch screen, biometric button and super 3.930 mAh battery that can really last all day.
While its technical configurations offer no particular detail, there is the fact that the device was studied by Mountain View engineers to be the Google Pixel 2 XL.
Known by the code name muskie, the HTC model was the direct competitor of the “taimen – as LG's device was called during internal testing.
While LG offered an OLED display as its differential, HTC has stuck to LCD technology. In the end, LG was the winner and chosen to make the Google Pixel 2 XL.
It is possible that if Google had chosen HTC, it could have avoided the current display issues on the Pixel 2 XL. But this is just speculation.
