HP Adds Alexa Assistant to Printer Voice Command System

THE HP Inc. was the first company to implement voice commands on your printers, starting last year a partnership with smart devices Google Home and assistant Microsoft Cortana. Just last week, the company announced that it would add Amazon's Alexa assistant list of printer-compatible technologies. HP now has the three main smart speaker platforms: Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana and Google Home.

The user just needs to pair the devices and say "Hey, Cortana, print my calendar," for example. Because electronics work as assistants, you can ask them to print your reminders, calendars, and even Sudoku exercises. It is important to remember that each device and its respective personal assistants respond to a specific voice command.

The HP printer's ability to print something by voice commands is still in its early stages, so more printing capabilities may be added in the future. According to HP, this technology is essential for offices or even the home environment. This interaction makes the process faster and more convenient, and you don't have to wire the devices to request a printout.

HP also predicts that voice services will become smarter and more proactive by using AI (artificial intelligence) to deduce users' intentions and needs.
