Step 1. Download the Yellow Bike app for Android or iPhone. When you launch it, you can choose to sign in with a Google account already linked to your device. Provide your mobile number and accept the terms of use and privacy policy. Then click Update;

Step 2. A window will pop up asking you to allow the app to access the device location. Click Allow. The home screen shows a map with your location. If the map is gray, you are outside Yellow's coverage area;

Step 3. If the map is white, as is usually the case with GPS services, you are in a location within the coverage area and you will be able to see Yellow icons scattered around the map. They show you where the bikes next to you are located. To start a race, access the menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner. Tap on the My Wallet option;

Step 4. To rent bikes and race, you need to put credit in your wallet. To do this, click Add Value. Choose your payment method: cash or credit card;

Step 5. Money offers the purchase of credits through physical partners, which are indicated on the map. In these establishments, you pay with cash for your credit purchase. In the Credit Card option, you choose the amount you want to put in your wallet. You can only choose from the following values: $ 5, $ 10, $ 20, $ 40, $ 80, and $ 120. After choosing the value, click Refill Card;

Step 6. Provide your credit card details and click Add. The purchase will be effective and the credits will appear in your wallet within the app. In My Wallet you can transfer existing credit to a friend. To perform the action, just click Transfer to friends, choose the value and generate a code;

Step 7. With the credits in your wallet, the next step is to rent a bike. On the map, locate a yellow near you. When you reach the location indicated by the app, use your phone to scan the QR code of the bike. Just focus your camera on the image located on the vehicle lock on the rear wheel. If you cannot scan the code, enter it manually;

Step 8. A warning to the user appears on the app screen: if the vehicle is returned in an out-of-coverage area, a fee of $ 30 will be charged. The user must accept the return term and scan the QR code again. After identification is made, the bicycle lock is opened and the use of the bicycle is released. The credits you have in the app's wallet will be consumed according to the vehicle's usage time. Every 15 minutes charged the amount of $ 1.50;

Step 9. If you want to end the trip, you do not need to return the bike to a specific station or location. You can leave it on the street as long as the location is within Yellow's coverage area. To end the race, I need to close the lock located on the rear wheel of the bike, next to the QR Code. A screen with the status of your trip will appear, indicating that the vehicle return has been completed.
