Flip is a suite of proofing tools that have a free online spell checker and synthetic. The site allows analyzing texts of up to 3 thousand characters, highlighting words with errors and offering options for substitution or synonyms. The user can choose to correct the content according to the formal, current or informal language, and still follow the Orthographic Agreement in force since 2016. Step 1. Access the Flip website (flip.pt) and select the Flip option online, in the main menu. Then choose Spell checker and synthetic;

Step 2. Check the Portuguese option for Brazil, selecting the flag of our country, and choose if you want to correct the text according to the 2016 Orthographic Reform. Then, paste the desired text in the main field and press the Check text button;

Step 3. The website will show the revised text. The misspelled words and phrases will be highlighted in red. Position the cursor over them to check for suggestions for correction. Touch an option to have the tool replace the term immediately;

Step 4. It is possible to inform in the top options bar if the text is following the formal, current or informal language;

Step 5. If the text has more than three thousand characters, Flip will display a warning on the screen, and will only make corrections up to the established limit. Press Ok to proceed. The excess of the text will be discarded and deleted from the revision;

Step 6. To start a new correction, just click on the option click here, just below the main field.
