How to use the Bigo Live app to make a live broadcast | Social networks

Bigo Live is an app for streaming live audio and video with your smartphone. The app is available for free download on Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. Like Periscope, the platform acts as a social network with followers and offers various types of interactions between users, even during transmissions.

How to sign up and view basic application options

Step 1. Open the app and use one of your social networks to create a Bigo Live account. Then enter your gender, country and date of birth. Tap the "Next" icon;

Step 2. The app suggests popular broadcasts made by other users. To proceed, tap Done. The home screen displays currently highlighted broadcasts. Tap the planet icon to see more options in "Explore";

Step 3. The Explore screen lets you find lives with popular hashtags, countries and lives. Tap the star cone to see more popular profiles on the platform. Tap the avatar icon to see profile options;

Step 4. The profile page displays the number of followers, friends and fans. The page still shows saved broadcasts, received messages, and other actions.

How to perform live broadcasts

Step 1. Tap the circle icon at the bottom of the screen to start setting up a live stream. You can give a live name, as well as add a cover image and content tags. To do so, tap the "Select tag" option;

Step 2. Choose the tags that will be attached to the video and tap the "OK" button. Then click on the face icon in the lower right corner to see the mask options;

Step 3. Tap one of the masks to have the system apply the effect to you. To use other filters, click on the face cone in the lower left corner of the screen;

Step 4. Use the filters and beautifying effects available in the app. Choose whether you want to perform video, audio, multiplayer, or interactive game broadcasts. Finally, to start streaming, tap the "Live" button;

Step 5. During the live video, use the options at the bottom to perform the following actions: open the message sending screen, invite friends to split the broadcast, make screen prints and start interactive games. To end the transmission, click the "X" icon in the upper right corner of the screen. The final screen will display the quality of the broadcast, the number of viewers, new fans and a scoring chart on the platform.
