How to use Slack on PC? Learn How Business Messenger Works | Social networks

Slack is an internal communication application designed to facilitate dialogue in team activities. The platform chat is divided into private messages and group messages (so-called "channels"). These can be broken down by departments, projects or subjects to organize team planning.

Step 1. When entering the website or desktop application, if you do not have a workspace, press the "Getting Started" button;

Step 3. Then add a registration email and press the "Next" option. In the new tab that appears next, enter the confirmation code in the field indicated and press "Next";

Step 4. Define the name of your workspace. Then define the name of your first project;

Step 5. Define your team and add them to the project. You can share the invitation link with members or add the team directly via email. If you do not want to add members at this time, press the "Skip this for now" button;

Step 6. To complete the platform registration, press the Finish Registration button.

Step 1. If you already have a registration, press the Enter button on the home page. You will be redirected to the page below, where you should add your workspace. If you do not know the address, press "Find your workspace" to be redirected to a page where you should enter your email to know which workplace has your data added;

Step 2. Then enter your email address and password in the fields indicated below. If you do not remember the email address or password, please tick "Forgot password" or "Forgot which email address you used" to reset the registration data you entered.

Step 1. In the left corner of the platform there is an option box in which a series of interactions with the platform is possible.

In Conversations the user can see their history of conversations both in groups, in channels, and in private, direct messages.

In "Channels" you can view all team conversations you participate.

To access a channel, just click on it;

Step 2. To add a new channel, select Add a new channel in the left corner. You will be redirected to the page below, where all the channels you participate in are displayed. To proceed, press the Create channel option;

Step 3. Configure the settings according to your preferences. At this time, the administrator can define the name, description, members of the channel and whether it will be opened or closed. Then press "Create";

Step 4. To start a new conversation, simply access the direct messages, select the recipients and you're done.

Step 1. To share a file, tick the "Attachment" button in the left corner of the page in the chat area. Then select the location where the file is stored and share it. The file sharing procedure is the same for private channels and messages;

Step 2. After selecting, upload the file with the "Upload" button. Slack also allows the user to write a message next to the shared file. If you want to share the file with different contacts or channels simultaneously, press "Share with" and select the contacts.

To make a voice call, check the phone or camera icon in the upper right corner of the screen. The function is available for direct conversations in the free plan. For paid plans, the function is also available for channels.

Step 1. On the main page, in the left column of the screen, there is a section called "Apps". To integrate any application with the platform, select the Add applications option. You will then be redirected to the page below. Select the app of your choice and press Install;

Step 2. Then press Add Configuration and authorize the permissions required by the app. After completing the integration between the software, log in to the application account. Importantly, the steps of each installation may vary depending on the application to be installed.
