The plastic filter on Instagram Stories, called Fix Me is standing out among users of the app. Available in the iPhone (iOS) and Android phones, the curious effect simulates scribbles and notes made by plastic surgeons before performing aesthetic procedures on patients' faces. In a second effect present on the same filter, users can simulate bruises that are common in the postoperative period. For this, Instagram uses face recognition technology to apply effects while capturing a photo or video using Stories mode.

Step 1. Open Instagram and tap on the magnifying glass icon to start a new search for users;

Step 2. Type in the search bar the name of the user "danielmooney" without the quotation marks. Touch the matching result to see the developer profile. At this point, tap on the profile highlight "Filters";

Step 3. Browse the featured stories until you find a post with the plastic filter. To install, tap on the name "Fix Me" in the upper left corner of the screen and wait for the installation to finish. You will automatically be redirected to the Stories camera and see the filter acting on your face. Tap on the mask to see the other effect option;

Step 4. After defining which effect you want to use, make a photo or video using the stories camera. Then tap on the "Your Story" option to have the image shared;
