As many of you may know, the Apple ID is a unique and personal account that should be used to take advantage of all the features of Apple products, from gadgets even digital services like iCloud, App Store, Apple Music, etc.
With the Apple ID, users can also take advantage of another very interesting option – especially if all family members have an Apple device: o Family Sharing. We have explained this feature a few times, but it is important to know that in order to take full advantage of it, it is necessary to keep account information up to date – especially that of children.
Children’s Apple ID
Creating an Apple ID for children is very simple: the family account holder can do this at any time by going to Settings ” [seu nome] »Family Sharing» Add Family »Create an Account for a Child.
The problem is that many do not know about this option and end up creating a normal Apple ID (adult), “lying” the age of the child – after all, you must be at least 13 years old to have a common Apple ID. By doing this, you lose some benefits of having a child Apple ID, such as limiting the use of some apps (or even remotely removing that limit in the case of a trip or something), monitoring access to children’s devices, requesting permission for shopping and so on.
But don’t worry: you can reverse this and transform an adult Apple ID into a child’s Apple ID. To do this, this Apple ID must necessarily be part of a Family Share. It’s inside? Great!

Concluding
When changing the date of birth to less than 13 years old, the family organizer must approve the change. After updating your birth date, follow the steps on the screen to send an email request to the family organizer.
The family organizer must approve the request and log in with the Apple ID to confirm the change of birth date and agree to the “Parental Privacy Disclosure” by entering the requested account payment method information. Please note: with this change made, you will no longer be able to edit the age of that Apple ID.
By default, the “Ask to buy” feature is automatically enabled for children under 13. If you don’t want to use this feature, you can disable it in your child’s profile settings within Family Sharing.
