Newer versions of Android allow you to transfer data between phones without cables or performing complex backup procedures. The feature uses Bluetooth connectivity and Wi-Fi network to copy your account information and settings from one smartphone to another. The tool is useful for those who are upgrading to a newer model or changing devices.
In the following tutorial, check out how to transfer data from one Android smartphone to another. The procedure was performed between a Moto E5 Plus with Android 8.0 (Oreo) and a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to other devices with the Google system.

Step 1. On your new device, choose the desired language and tap "Let's go". Then select the option "Copy your data";

Step 2. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network and on the next screen select "A backup from an Android smartphone";

Step 3. Some informational screens will be displayed. Tap "Next" a few times to advance;

Step 4. Now on your old phone, open the Google app and type "set up my device" or say "Ok Google, set up my device". That done, tap "Next";

Step 5. If necessary, select the device you want to configure and verify that the geometric shapes displayed on the screen are the same on both devices. In this case, press "Next";

Step 6 Tap "Next" and confirm the lock pattern or PIN password of your old phone. Then confirm the copy of the data by tapping "Copy";

Step 7. On your new phone, enter your Google Account password and tap "Sign in." Then, if the device has a biometric reader, you can enroll fingerprints;

Step 8. In the next step, tap "More" a few times and at the end of the screen tap "Accept";

Step 9. Tap "All Done" and select the most recent backup to restore it;

Step 10. Choose the data you want to recover and tap "Restore". Finally, tap "Next" to complete the process.
