If you have an Xperia Z, Xperia ZQ, Xperia ZR or Tablet Z, you may have noticed that after upgrading to Android 4.4.2 your battery runs out quickly. Following the complaint of several users on various internet forums, Sony made a public statement revealing the culprit: the app Google Play Services.
If your Xperia Z device running KitKat 4.4.2 downloads quickly for no reason, all you need to do is uninstall recent Google Play Services updates until Google releases an update that addresses the issue. The simple method: Open your device settings, select Apps> All> Google Play Services. Click on it and select Uninstall Updates.
