How to Share an Excel Spreadsheet | Productivity

Excel lets you share spreadsheets quickly and conveniently. The user can upload the file to their OneDrive account and grant access to others who can edit the document online or just view it. You can also email the attached spreadsheet using the Outlook application.

In the following tutorial, check out two ways to share an Excel spreadsheet across your computer. The procedure was performed on the latest version of Office 2016, but the tips also apply to users of previous editions of the Microsoft program.

How to share an Excel spreadsheet through OneDrive

Step 1. Open the spreadsheet you want to share and press the "Share" button in the upper right corner of the Excel window;

Step 2. Then select your OneDrive account, where the file will be stored;

Step 3. Enter a name for the file and tick "OK";

Step 4. Now enter the person's email address and select whether they can edit or just view. If you want, add a message and finally press "Share".

How to share an Excel spreadsheet via email

Step 1. Open the spreadsheet you want to share and select "Share" in the upper right corner of the Excel window;

Step 2. Then press the "Excel Workbook" option;

Step 3. The Outlook application will open with the attached file. Enter the email address you want to send to and enter the subject and message. Finally, press "Send" to send the message.
