The feature of scheduling posts is gradually taking over social networks. ideal for those who know they'll need to post in the future, but want to get ahead and make sure they won't forget.
Instagram and Facebook already have platforms for making scheduled posts and, recently, Twitter also started testing the tool.
How to schedule a Twitter post via the web
First, it is important to note that this function is only available for the web version of Twitter, that is, it is not yet possible to schedule a post by cell phone, be it Android or iOS.
In addition, the function is still just a test, helping the technical team to understand what flaws were perceived and, thus, implement the function in a wide way on all platforms.
1. The first step, of course, is to have a Twitter profile to be able to post.
2. Once this is done, just click on the creation space to make a new tweet normally, being able to insert only text, image, video, poll, emojis and much more.
3. The difference with the update is the new icon that is on the bottom bar, right next to the space to search for emojis. By clicking on it, it is possible to perceive the scheduling options of the post, such as the day, month and year, in addition to the specific time for publication.
The new function also allows you to choose the time zone that the user prefers, in addition to providing the option of checking a list of all tweets scheduled so far as a way to check details and make sure everything is right. When everything is checked, just confirm and wait until the post is made.
However, a major limitation of this new function is that it does not work in the case of a sequence of tweets, better known as a thread. In other words, to be able to schedule a post on Twitter, I need it to be something minimal enough to fit in the 280 characters.
As you can see, the function of scheduling postings on Twitter is still extremely limited, but it is worth remembering that, because it is so new, it must undergo modifications and be increasingly improved.
Despite all this, the fact that implementation started on the social network shows how Twitter has grown more and more and has become an environment capable of allowing the growth of brands, influencers and professionals who use their own online presence to be able to grow.
