Google Duo allows the user to leave a video or voice message to a friend. The message can be viewed or heard countless times, but only for 24 hours. Then, the content expires and is permanently deleted. However, if you want, you can save the message on your phone.

How to delete scraps received on Google Duo

Step 1. In Google Duo, open the video or audio scrap you want to save. Then touch the screen to pause the message.

Step 2. Tap on the download icon in the upper right corner of the left trash screen. If this is the first time you’re saving a scrap, you’ll need to authorize the app’s access to your files. To do this, tap "Allow".
