How to save PDF documents with the CamScanner app | Utilities

Digitizing documents using the cell phone as a scanner is the task of CamScanner, one of the main applications of its kind for Android and iPhone (iOS). The handheld app uses the smartphone's camera to identify documents and convert them to PDF without the help of a PC. Once saved, documents can be shared in several ways, such as email, WhatsApp, Google Drive, among others. The free software to download and does not require login to release the main functions.

Step 1. The first time you access CamScanner, the application may ask you to create an account, but registration is not necessary to use the functions. Touch Use now to jump and open the home screen. Touch the button in the lower right corner to open the camera or Import from gallery in the top menu to start scanning.

Step 2. If the capture is made on the spot, aim the document with the camera of the cell phone, preferably in a location with good lighting. When advancing, CamScanner opens an editor that allows you to cut the edges, adjusting the corners to prevent unnecessary things from appearing in the scan.

Step 3. If the document is too long, opt for batch capture on the camera, which allows you to scan everything at once before editing.

Step 4. Then, the application performs an automatic optimization that adjusts the photo to a scanning aspect. Touch the top to define a name for the document. Then use the right footer button to save.

Step 5. At the end of the procedure, tap the share button and select the PDF option. The application will show all available means to transfer the document, such as email, Google Drive and WhatsApp. Go back without choosing any app to just keep the file saved in memory.
