How to reinstall the Office suite on my computer | Productivity

To reinstall Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs there are two procedures, depending on the type of license you have. If the computer has Office 2010, 2013 or 2016, there may be a physical or digital license attached to the installation. If activation is from Office 2019 or from an Office 365 service subscription, applications can be automatically validated with an online account and reinstalled as often as needed. Here's how to reinstall Office on a new PC or after formatting.

How to find the product key

If you have not registered your Office with a Microsoft account using your email and password, you will need to have a 25-digit alphanumeric product key to reinstall the program package. In an Office physical copy, the installation key often comes in the box or in the documentation that comes with the package. On the other hand, if the purchase was online, the key may be in an email sent by Microsoft after payment.

If you have lost the box and physical purchase receipt or cannot find the email that confirms an online transaction, you can obtain the license from the computer where Office was previously installed.

Step 1. Download the free Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder app (https://www.magicaljellybean/keyfinder/) and install it on your computer.
