Notification History lets you retrieve deleted messages from Instagram, WhatsApp and other apps from your phone's notification history. The free Android app tracks alerts on your device screen and rene them in a list of all warnings you receive, including chat texts.

If the program has active monitoring, you can review old messages that have been deleted by the sender, and check the time and date received. Here's how to set up software on your smartphone to restore Instagram Direct conversations.

Step 1. Download and install Notification History on your phone. When opening for the first time, I need to grant some permissions. Use the forward arrow and tap Grant to allow access to your notifications;

Step 2. Search for Notification History from the list below and turn on the switch next to it. Then tap Allow;

Step 3. Tap Grant again and release permission to access mobile phone storage;

Step 4. Lastly, check the box at the bottom, slide to the side and finish the setup;

Step 5. From the Notification History will start monitoring the notifications received and record everything in a history. Access the side menu to navigate between same day, previous day and week alerts;

Step 6. All messages received in Direct will be stored in the list even after they have been deleted. Tap to see more details such as sender profile, recipient profile, alert arrival date and time;

Step 7. Drag alerts sideways to remove individually, or tap the trash can button to erase the full story at once.
