How to Protect Your WhatsApp with Fingerprint on Android

After months of testing, WhatsApp has released the fingerprint lock for all Android phone users with this feature. You need to be running the latest version of the app to get it. Know how.

The beta version of WhatsApp for Android gained biometric locking in mid-March this year, but only all users with compatible smartphones – who have on-screen or physical biometric sensors – can use this feature.

To use this function you need to have updated WhatsApp. Go to Google Play and update the app on your phone:

Install on Google Play

To enable WhatsApp fingerprint protection, tap: Settings> Account> Privacy> Fingerprint Lock. Enable "Unlock with fingerprint" and confirm your fingerprint.
