Instagram lets you record several different clips in sequence to create a video for the feed. At the end of the recording, the app automatically builds a single file with all takes in sequence, up to a minute long. The feature is available on Android and iPhone (iOS), and is useful for making creative editions and differentiated videos without resorting to external applications.

Step 1. Tap the + icon to create a new post for the feed. Then choose the Video option.

Step 2. The camera will be triggered and you must press the capture button to start recording. Release the button when you finish a clip.

Step 3. Press the button again to start recording more images. Another clip will be created and inserted into the sequence. You can view all recorded clips so far on the line below the video.

Step 4. If you want to delete the last recorded take, select Delete and confirm the action. You can continue recording new clips as normal. At the end, select Next.

Step 5. Choose a filter, crop the video as you like and select a cover. Finally, enter a caption, tag people, and post the video to your profile.
