Caixa Econmica Federal customers can request a temporary suspension of housing financing without leaving their home. Caixa has encouraged digital assistance due to the new coronavirus pandemic, in order to avoid agglomerations at branches. Since Monday (23), the branches started to give priority to essential social assistance, and the assistance in remote channels, such as the digital agency, teleservice and WhatsApp, were reinforced by the bank.

Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, Caixa announced last week that it will be possible to request a break of up to 60 days in the installments of the housing loan. Customers can place an order using the Habitao Caixa app on Android or iPhone (iOS) phones, or call the phones 3004-1105 and 0800 726 0505. The Caixa app allows you to manage open housing financing, such as issuing a second payment and extract Income Tax (IRPF). 1. Pause Caixa housing financing
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, customers who have housing loans outstanding at Caixa can request a break in the contract. With this new function, salaries are suspended and postponed by 60 days. To place the order, tap on the Request Pause option on the application's home page. The confirmation that the request for a pause in the Caixa financing was granted by SMS.

2. Caixa housing simulator
In the housing simulator, you simulate your financing by entering some data such as: what type of property do you want to buy (new, used, land or under construction), its approximate value, state and city in which it is located and other information on the buyer's income. From the simulation of the housing, it informs which real estate sales at Caixa fit your profile and the possibilities of financing, number and value of installments.

3. Issue a ticket and a second copy of financing
When accessing his contract, the user can issue the duplicate of the installment bill of the financing for printing, or access the barcode for virtual payment. 4. Issue financing statement for IRPF
