The Nomo app applies an effect that simulates Polaroid photos on images captured on Android or iPhone (iOS) phones. The filter can be used on photos taken on the spot with the camera or on files uploaded from the device gallery. To speed up the development of images, the app asks the user to shake the smartphone, making a move made famous by revealing physical Polaroids.
The free version of Nomo creates Polaroids in the traditional format with white borders and a larger empty space at the bottom, with the photo in the center. The paid version offers other options for older cameras and costs $ 79.90 per year ($ 299 in direct conversion). Here's how to make the Polaroid photo effect for free on your mobile phone. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 7 with iOS 12, but the walkthrough the same on devices with Google system.
