The Pareto diagram is a type of column chart that sorts numbers downwards to prioritize more frequent problems. In Excel, the diagram can be done in a few clicks, simply and quickly. The program also allows you to customize the elements that appear in the diagram.

Step 1. Select the table in which you want to create the Pareto diagram. Then, open the “Insert” tab;

Step 2. In the “Graphics” section, press the histogram icon and, in the window that appears, select the “Pareto” option;

Step 3. The diagram will be inserted in the table. If you want, you can customize the elements that appear on the graph in the “+” button, located in the upper right corner of the diagram.
