Step 1. Navigate to the presentation slide that should contain the infographic. From the PowerPoint menu, press Insert and select SmartArt;

Step 2. From the left menu, choose the type of infographic. Templates in the List category are best for displaying text only, while Process templates are best for creating timeline;

Step 3. When selecting one of the templates, the infographic will appear on the current slide. Click on the text boxes to edit the infographic;

Step 4. Once the information has been entered, select the picture and access the color selection menu located in the Design menu;

Step 5. Hover over color options to test which one suits your presentation best. Click to apply the new color palette;

Step 6. With the infographic ready, resize the picture to fit your slide. In general, the elements that make up the design are interconnected, so you can move them without messing up the layout.
