Removing the passport for Brazilian citizens is a process that involves several steps and sending documents, both online and in person. The requisition procedure started on the Federal Policy website, and the same for those who take it out for the first time or for people who wish to renew it in practice, a new document is always issued. The passport fee of R $ 257.25, valid for 10 years for applicants aged 18 or over.

Before applying for a passport, I need to gather some original documents that must be taken to the Federal Police's in person service. Just them:
- Identification document with photo: RG, functional public agency license, military or issued by inspection agency, work permit, previous Brazilian passport or driver's license;
- Voter title and proof of vote, in case of any electoral irregularity with the TSE;
- Document proving settlement with the military service, in case of any divergence or impossibility of online consultation at the time of service;
- Previous valid passport, if any;
- CPF, registered in an identification document or in cards of banks, social assistance or social security services. It is also possible to present the Proof of Registration in the CPF obtained via the Internet.
Fill in the online form
Step 1. If you have all the original documents up to date, go to the passport application page and select the option Passport issue;

Step 2. On the first screen, fill in your personal information;

Step 4. On the same screen, pay special attention when filling in the information about the previous passport. If it is your first passport, check the option Never had a common passport. Whoever is renewing the document must have the old version in hand to insert the number;

Step 5. In Complementary data, inform your profession, e-mail, address and telephone to proceed;

Step 6. At the end, review the information carefully and check the dialog box on the footer. Press Send;

Step 7. Next, close the alert at the top and select Print to generate the GRU, the payment slip you must use to pay the issue fee.

Step 1. With the guide duly paid and provided with the original documents required by the Federal Police, access the passport page on the PF website and select Schedule your appointment to make an appointment;

Step 2. Inform CPF, the protocol received by email and the date of birth to proceed. If the payment has already been cleared by the bank, which occurs between 24 and 72 hours, the website will offer a calendar of dates to schedule the face-to-face visit to the Federal Police post.
