Microsoft collects data from users, but offers a simple way to delete information. If you have an active company account, you can access the complete history stored on the servers and, if necessary, delete it to protect your privacy. The company shares data through Windows, Office, Skype and other products from the manufacturer.

Step 1. Access the Microsoft account privacy page (https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/) and log in with email and password. The information is usually the same as that used on a Windows 10 computer;

Step 2. On the Download your data tab, click Create new archive to obtain a copy of the information;

Step 3. To view and delete your information from Microsoft servers, go to Activity History and browse the full history of used apps, voice searches, web searches through Bing, browsing the Edge, media played and locations visited with a Windows device. Use the side menu to filter information by type;

Step 4. On each item, click Delete to remove it individually. If you prefer to delete all data, select Clear activity at the top;

Step 5. Microsoft dedicates a separate page only to information obtained by the Cortana assistant. To remove them, click on Cortana Notebook and select the option Clear Cortana data;

Step 6. Finally, it is possible to disable the use of data by advertisers. To do this, go to the Ads Settings option and disable the key in the Interest-Based Ads section whenever I use my Microsoft account.
