Chrome has gained a native night mode on Windows 10 PCs. The function, which was being tested a few weeks ago and is now present in version 74 of Chrome, lets you use a dark theme in the Google browser browser interface and home screen. The feature is useful in dark environments or for those who usually use the computer before bed, preventing the brightness emitted by the white background of the application to irritate the view and disturb your sleep.

Step 1. First, make sure you are using the updated version of Google Chrome. Then go to the Windows 10 customization settings. To do this, right-click on the desktop wallpaper and go to "Customize";

Step 2. In the settings window, select "Dark" under "Choose color". You can also check the "Dark" option in "Choose default application mode";

Step 3. If dark mode is not enabled, the news has not been released to your PC. In this situation, access Chrome's shortcut properties on your desktop or taskbar;

Step 4. In the "Destination" field, add the "–force-dark-mode" command (without quotes) to the end. Finally, press "OK" to save the modifications and open Chrome from the modified shortcut.
