Step 1. Open Google Maps from the computer with your previously logged in Google Account and click the three bar icon in the upper left corner of the screen;

Step 2. Access the "Your Maps Data" option to view the feature page;

Step 3. To start the file preparation, click on the "Download Maps Data" option;

Step 4. Keep the features you want to save to the backup file selected. If you want to download all data, keep everything selected. To continue, click the "Next Step" button;

Step 5. Select how you want to receive the file. There is an option to receive a download link via email or directly to DropBox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Box. Then set whether to download all data to a single file or schedule downloads every two months. To continue, click the "Create File" button;

Step 6. You can wait on page until the file is ready. In this case, just click on the "Download" option to finish the backup. There is also the option to close the page and wait until a download link is sent to your Gmail.
