Fogo Cruzado is a free application for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones that allows residents of the metropolitan regions of some Brazilian capitals to discover the locations where there are shootings. The collaborative tool allows any user to report an occurrence. The app is useful for those who need to travel and want to find the best route to avoid unsafe points.

In the following tutorial, check out how to use the Crossfire app to find out where you have gunfire in your city. The procedure was performed on a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to Apple system users.

Step 1. Install the Crossfire app on your mobile. From the app's main screen, locate the region you want to monitor and zoom in on the map until you find an occurrence. Tap on it to see the details;

Step 2. If you want, you can apply filters. To do this, click on the indicated button in the upper right corner of the screen and select the desired filter options. That done, tap "Filter";

Step 3. Tap "Regio" to quickly locate a city on the map. Although there are only the regions of Rio de Janeiro and Recife listed, it is possible to see shootings in other locations, such as So Paulo;

Step 4. To submit a shooting record, tap "Collaborate" at the bottom of the screen. You need to log in or register with the app. To do so, tap "Register" in the lower right corner and enter the requested data;

Step 5. Select the date and location of the shooting you witnessed and tap "Next". Then add information about dead and injured and if it existed to the police. Enter a title, enter the details in the description and finally press "Submit";

Step 6. Access the application menu in the upper left corner of the screen for more options such as statistics, notifications, and shootout news.
