Launchers, themes, wallpapers, cones can all be changed on Android and Moto G offers numerous customization options. Today I will show you some possibilities to completely change your device.

Launchers

A launcher is a good way to renew the look of a smartphone or tablet. I'm currently using the Launcher 8 free (fake wp8), with which you can make Windows 8 look like your device. I confess I liked it better than I expected, and so I'm getting used to the program on my new computer. I think this is a good option for the user who is new to Android as the commands are quite intuitive.

<h2 id=Boot Logos

In the forum of XDA Developers There is an application to modify the boot logos called MotoG Boot Logo Creator + Flasher. With it you can put your own custom logo on when starting your Moto G. At the link above you can download the app and follow the instructions for use.

<h2 id=Full screen

It's a great option if you usually watch videos and movies on your smartphone. It is made possible by an application called Immersive Full-Screen Mode, and the only downside is that it pays. Also, if the app is active, you won't be able to view notifications or write messages, for example. You can download Immersive Full-Screen Mode at this link.

Battery Percentage and Status Bar

The Moto G status bar is very simple, with the necessary icons and basic blanks (like all devices with KitKat). But there are some aspects that could be greatly improved.

mtg24 "sizes =" (max-width: 806px) calc (100vw - 24px), (max-width: 995px) 782px, (max-width: 1216px) calc (2 * (100vw - 30px) / 3) + 15px - 24px), 782px "src =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg24-w620.jpg "srcset =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/ mtg24-w620.jpg 620w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg24-w596.jpg 596w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg24-w450. jpg 450w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg24-w336.jpg 336w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg24-w300.jpg 300w "class = "lazyload" />

<p>To begin with, it would not hurt to show the percentage of battery left. There is more than one app to enable this option. KitKat Battery Percentage is very simple and practical. It is free and does not require superuser permissions. The only drawback is that the percentage appears inside the battery icon, and only becomes visible when the battery is below 50% capacity.</p>

Another issue, to me annoyingly, is that the bar includes the name of the carrier in the upper left corner. To eliminate it, I need to root and unlock the Moto G bootloader, and thus lose the warranty.

If you are still willing to try, you will need to install the MoDaCo Toolkit. Here you have the download link and the instructions.

mtg4 "sizes =" (max-width: 806px) calc (100vw - 24px), (max-width: 995px) 782px, (max-width: 1216px) calc (2 * (100vw - 30px) / 3) + 15px - 24px), 782px "src =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg4-w620.jpg "srcset =" https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/ mtg4-w620.jpg 620w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg4-w596.jpg 596w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg4-w450. jpg 450w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg4-w336.jpg 336w, https://fscl01.fonpit.de/userfiles/4800583/image/mtg4-w300.jpg 300w "class = "lazyload" />

<p>In the Moto G main screen there is a constantly activated Google search bar. It can be removed and for this we do not need to root or install custom ROMs or launchers. Just go to <strong>Settings> Apps> All> Google Search> Disable</strong>, and then restart the device. Unfortunately, we will not be able to occupy the free space with any other widget or app.</p>

Weather widgets

One of Moto G's big shortcomings is the lack of a weather widget, but this can easily be solved by installing a third party app from the Play Store. I recommend Chronus, available at the link below:

If you don't like this option, check out this list with other widgets.

Note: These were simple suggestions on how to customize your Moto G. With the xposedframework + gravityboxhowever you will have other advanced options as shown by our supermoderator Jefferson in this topic of the forum.
