Spotify can now be controlled by Siri in the Apple iPhone (iOS), iPad, CarPlay, AirPods and HomePod ecosystem via AirPlay. Integration with the virtual assistant was long awaited among users of the service and was until then exclusive to Apple Music. The news is available to everyone as of Monday (7), version 8.5.26 of the app, which also includes support for the iOS 13 data saver feature and debuts the Apple TV app.

Step 1. Access the iOS settings and tap "Siri and Search";

Step 2. Then locate the Spotify app and enable the 'Use with' Order Siri 'option;

Step 3. You can also say Siri something like "Play (music, album, artist, band or playlist) on Spotify". The virtual assistant requests access to Spotify data. Say or tap "Yes" to enable integration.
