Step 1. Open the Start menu and access the "Settings", represented by the gear icon;

Step 2. In the main settings window, select "Update and security";

Step 3. The Windows Update main screen will display the message "There are updates available" if there is a newer version of the system. Select the option "Restart now" to install the update, or "Schedule a restart" to choose a time;

Step 4. When the update is in progress, Windows 10 will restart several times. The process usually takes more than an hour, so wait;

Step 5. If there is no update available, Windows Update will show the message "You are up to date", followed by the date and time of the last search for updates made by the system.
