This is a guest post by our community member and AndroidPIT forum moderator Jefferson Hoffmeister who decided to share an important tip here on the site: How to Change the Samsung Galaxy S2 Lite Opening Animation – which comes with a standard TIM animation here in Brazil – for the original South Korean version. This requires root access to the device. Learn how to root Galaxy S2 lite here.
After rooting the device, I need to install a file manager with root access, I recommend Root Explorer. Now follow the walkthrough below and say goodbye to TIM's standard animation:
1. Download the Bootanimation Stock file here and extract it to your pc.
2. Transfer the Bootanimation Stock folder to your mobile phone.
3 On your phone, open Root Explorer and go to the folder where the previously saved files are (Step 2).
4 Touch and hold file "shutdown.qmg"and select the" Copy "option.
5 Then go to the folder / System / media / video / shutdown, tap the "Mount R / W" button and then select "Paste". Confirm the change by clicking "Yes".
6 Return to the folder where the files were previously saved (Step 2).
7 In the "Menu" button, select "Multi-Select", mark the files "bootsamsung.qmg" and "bootsamsungloop.qmg"and then give the command" Copy ".
8 Go back to folder / System / media and select a to "Paste" now give the "Replace" command twice.
9 Ready, your boot and shutdown screen was changed to the original Samsung.
NOTE: Procedure tested on my Galaxy S2 Lite, I don't know if it works for other Galaxy models, if anyone does the procedure and it works, please share the experience in the comments below.
