WhatsApp should get a dark theme on the phone soon. On the computer, however, it is already possible to use night mode by installing the Stylus extension, which is compatible with Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers. In this way, it is possible to use the messenger more comfortably in dark environments or at night, preventing the brightness of the computer screen from irritating your eyes.

In the following tutorial, learn how to install the Stylus extension and add a dark theme to WhatsApp Web. The procedure was carried out in the browser version for macOS, but the tips are also valid for Windows PC users.

Step 1. Install the Stylus extension in your browser. The application is available for Chrome, Firefox and Opera;

Step 2. Now, go to the dark theme page for WhatsApp (userstyles.org/styles/142096/dark-whatsapp-theme-by-mew) and press the «Install Style» option on the bottom bar. If necessary, confirm the installation of the theme in the dialog that appears;

Step 3. Finally, access WhatsApp Web to use the messenger with dark theme. If it is already open, reload the page to update.
