What and how does Google Classroom work?
Google Classroom is an online classroom, which helps teachers manage activities and create interactive classes, helping students increase learning through tools available on the Internet. The service also allows you to create different classes, distribute assignments and send and receive notes and feedbacks.
The platform can be accessed free of charge by public and private colleges, and includes integration with G Suite for Education, a set of free Google tools and services adapted for schools. In addition to classes, teachers can send activities and assignments to students, using Classroom via computer or cell phone.

Accessing Google Classroom
Teachers and students can access Google Classroom through the classroom.google/u/0/h website or through the mobile application, provided they have Internet access. If you are a teacher and want to create a class, it is necessary for the educational institution to enroll in G Suite for Education. If you want to use the tool just to complement the classes, you don't need to register in advance. All resources can be accessed as long as you and students have a Google account.
The steps to access the platform in the web version are very simple: just access the website and login. If this is your first access as a teacher, you will need to create a class, enter information about the class, and then invite your students by email or by sharing the classroom access code. Students need to be invited to access a specific virtual classroom.

Google Classroom features
When creating a class, teachers can create topics for didactic content, add questions to students and attach activities, being able to modify the score for each exercise and the time available for delivery. The teaching materials of the class can be shared in PDF, photos, videos and links to websites, so that each student has access to the content directly from their device.
Google Classroom also has integration with several applications aimed at education. With Classcraft, teachers can import student data and turn activities into missions, within the game. At Quizizz, you can share the games in the app and make them tasks. Tynker has several courses and free learning tools for the computer science area.
Google Classroom for Teachers
By creating different classrooms for each subject, teachers can individually monitor the progress of each student, as well as the level of education of each class, being able to modify the contents according to the difficulties presented in each class. It is possible to manage all content and students through four different tabs: mural, activities, people and notes.
With Google Classroom, the grades received by students are recorded on the platform, as well as the date on which each activity was sent, which allows the teacher a faster and more individualized monitoring of each student's situation.

Google Classroom for students
Students have access to three different tabs: mural, activities and people. Through the "mural", you can follow all the topics created by the teacher, visualizing all the classes that have already been created. In the "activities" section, students find all tasks already done and pending, as well as the maximum grade assigned to each one and the deadline for delivery. In the "people" tab, you can check all the other students who are registered in the class.
It is indicated that students follow the classes in real time, in time arranged with their teachers through the Google virtual agenda. However, if you miss the lesson, the contents are saved in the virtual room. Students can also view the responses of each other's activities, to make a comparison and follow the evolution of the class. Notes and feedbacks are returned individually by the teacher.
