Just over a month after the first official evidence emerged, the date for HomePod's launch on Japan is at Taiwan: day August 23rd (Friday next week).
With that, Apple began pre-selling its smart speaker today (16/8) in both countries; in Japan, HomePod sold by JP32,800 (just over R $ 1,150 in direct conversion); in Taiwan, the gadget marketed by NT $ 9,900 (~ $ 1,200).
The start of Apple's speaker sales in Japan and Taiwan will be close to the official release of iOS 13, which will provide HomePod with a number of new features, including: Handoff, new radio stations and the creation of multiple profiles.
As we report, with the addition of the two new markets, HomePod is now available in 12 countries: Germany, Australia, Canada, China, Spain, United States, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom and Taiwan.
