Here are the top 10 smartphone apps of 2016, according to Nielsen

THE Nielsen this week published its survey on the smartphone market in 2016. The research focused on the United States, but still brings interesting data.

The duo of Facebook and Google scares: the 1, 2 and 8 positions are from Mark Zuckerberg, while the 3 7 are all from the Mountain View giant. Only the last two vary: in 9 places is Apple Music and in 10, the official app from Amazon.

Looking at the annual growth of each app, the one that most rose in the list was that of Amazon + 43%. Behind him are Instagram (+ 36%), Facebook Messenger (+ 28%) and Google Maps (+ 22%). The one that grew least, from 2015 to 2016, was Google Play + 8%.

Android obviously leads with 53%, but not so far from iOS with its 45% quite capable that it is the smallest difference between them worldwide. For the record, Windows Phone has 2% and BlackBerry, 1%.
