Gudak Cam is the app for those who want to relive the nostalgic times of analog cameras

One of the reasons that technology is an incredible thing is that it allows us to carry out some actions with progressive ease. For example, remember the film cameras: you could not review your work later and you could only take a maximum of 36 photos at a time, changing the roll only after taking the camera to a laboratory. Yes, it had its dose of elegance, but I prefer to be able to take 20 photos of the same scene and choose which one is better later.

Nostalgia, on the other hand, is an incredible thing. You can awaken a nostalgic feeling by gathering old friends, or watching a cartoon from your childhood or visiting a place long forgotten; but you can also do it by making your life difficult to the point of reminding you of times gone by with film cameras, for example. It's not my beach, but it's going to be yours.

Maybe I'm thinking too much about an app that is purely a joke, but the fact that it Gudak Cam.

With a very suggestive name but it also references the Korean word "Gudagdali", which means ā€œoutdatedā€, the application simulates, on your iPhone screen and with a good deal of realism, one of those Kodak disposable cameras that broke a lot of branches throughout the 1990s. really took the concept seriously.

First, the only way to get a preview of the photo to be captured in the tiny window that simulates the camera's viewfinder. And once the image is clicked, you canā€™t review it then youā€™ll need to complete the 24-exposure ā€œmovieā€ and, when the last photo is taken, wait three days for ā€œprocessingā€ (apparently, people there have never heard of it) of the tics that developed the photos in an hour). In addition, once the film is exhausted, you must wait 12 hours to take new photos.

Once processed, the images present some randomly applied filters, such as light leaks or overexposure. After all, with analogue cameras, you never knew if the final result would be satisfactory, right? šŸ˜œ

We are certainly not talking about an application that replaces the iPhone app on your iPhone, but Gudak Cam can be a momentary diversion especially if the feeling of nostalgia hit your heart right after that text. And for $ 1 on the App Store, we're not talking about such a drastic investment.
