The tip was given first hand on Saturday here on the Blog, and at that time we had already said that the game was so good that it would probably be one of the gifts from Apple in its 12 Days of Gifts promotion. Said and done: Apple’s second gift is just the game Tiny Thief, by Rovio Stars.
The reason it was free on Saturday was the Christmas break that the App Store took this week, which would make it impossible to change prices from today to tomorrow. So Apple has done it for free before, which was great for a lot of people who already enjoyed the gift.
