GoPro MAX receives updates such as timelapse and 360 video in 3K at 60fps

THE GoPro today released the latest update for your camera MAX 360 with new video and photo capture options. The new features include video at 3K resolution at 60 frames per second, video and timelapse photos in 360 mode.

With videos in 3K 60fps quality, users get better action scenes when using the slow motion function. The slow motion mode also allows more time to rotate or zoom the frames while action is happening, ensuring more flexibility in commands.

The 360 timelapse mode for photos and videos, which were already available in HERO mode, can now also be enabled in African capture. A 360 timelapse offers more interval options to capture longer periods of time. GoPro indicates this mode for sunrise and sunset scenes, for example.

Company to focus more on direct sales to consumers

Timelapse photography also has the possibility to capture 360 photos without using your hands during an activity. Prior to this update, the MAX user would have to press the capture button to take a 360 photo. Now, with this new mode, people can select a single photo from several or even create a timelapse clip.

Another feature that comes with the update is the horizon leveling available for HERO mode for both TimeWarp and photos, allowing even more freedom in not worrying so much about framing in the capture.

The GoPro App tool for content editing 360 also benefits from the update. The new firmware allows images to be downloaded to the App 25% faster using a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection.
