According to information from Reuters, Google plans a series of updates and new distribution partnerships that could give Chrome a more important role in the market, currently in fourth place with just 2.8 percent.
?If, on Chrome?s two-year anniversary, we don?t have at least 5 percent (market share), I?ll be extremely disappointed. And if on the three-year anniversary we don?t reach 10 percent, I will be extremely disappointed, ?said Linus Upson, Chrome?s director of development.
Another point discussed by the company is the availability of the stable version of Chrome for Mac. For Sundar Pichai, vice president of product management at Google, the browser will finally be ready for launch by the end of the year.
