Google Voice Mobile App for Blackberry and Android

After a few months after the launch of Google Voice and distribute recently new invitations for the service (including for Brazilians *!), Google announced this Wednesday the launch of a mobile application for Blackberry and Android.

According to the company, the ‘Google Voice for Mobile’ app allows you to make calls and send SMS messages with the Google Voice number directly from the user’s cell phone. The application can also be integrated with existing contacts and provides the possibility to make calls via Google Voice directly from the contacts catalog.

Google Voice for Mobile offers:

  • Voicemail access – Read message transcription, message playback, read SMS messages sent to Google Voice number and access to call history
  • Placing calls directly from the contacts catalog – By dialing application (Blackberry) or native keyboard (Android).
  • Sending SMS – Send text messages with your Google Voice number.
  • International Calls – Option to make international calls at a low cost.

You can download the app directly from the Google Voice mobile site at m.google/voice or through the Android Market on devices running the Android platform.
