Although Google has yet to officially confirm it, a series of photos leaked on the internet demonstrate that the Mountain View company has apparently found a way to get 360º images of places where its cars cannot travel.
Known as the “Street View Trike” project, the company has customized a series of tricycles that will enable the capture of new images for its Google Maps functionality. Unlike the ease of cars, the driver of the tricycle will have to pedal to reach the programmed locations.
In addition to using the same camera system with multiple lenses, the driver can observe all records through a small monitor attached to the handlebar of the tricycle. You can also possibly analyze and verify your location via GPS.
