Last Thursday, 06/21/2011, I was driving in Uberlândia – MG, with my children and my niece, when the latter, Ana Luíza, spotted the Google Street View car at Av. Getúlio Vargas, close to the Municipal Market. I didn’t get to see the vehicle and tried to return, to take pictures.
However, as the traffic was very intense, when I got there, I couldn’t find it anymore. Anyway, the truth is that, this week, the city of Uberlândia was being photographed. In fact, the car had been there since at least 11/06/2011, when it was caught and filmed, according quotes.
Coincidentally, on the same day, another car was spotted in neighboring Uberaba, according to the Morning newspaper.
According to the official service website, this week, they should photograph the cities of Patos de Minas, Centralina, Ituiutaba and Araxá, in Minas Gerais, in addition to Itumbiara, in Goiás, all close to Uberlândia and Uberaba. Hope that soon they will photograph my beloved homeland Sponsorship, 76 km from Patos de Minas.
In addition to the Mineiro Triangle, many other cities in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo are currently being photographed, according to the official service website, which can be followed by all readers.
There have also been reports in cities like Cuiaba (MT), Armadilloí (SP), Campos do Jordão (SP), Londrina and Maringá (PR), Santana do Livramento (LOL), Cricklewood (SC) and many others.
It seems that Google intends to photograph the whole country and is preparing to make a major update of images soon. You wait and see.
In the case of Latin America, we should expect the service to start in Argentina and Chile, which is being considered for this year.
